In 2004, at 33 years old, I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform Stage 4 Brain Cancer. This brain cancer has been classified as the fastest/deadliest cancer due to the numerous tenticles that spur off from the main tumor. My radiologist calls it "THE BEAST." The Beast, in my case, came with a death sentence of 1 year. This type of cancer has NO CURE. As the Head Golf Professional at Longaberger GC in Ohio, I was living the worldly dream. And this my definition of sin: I was in love with the world and the world was in love with me! The storm that I found myself in led me to live "Christ like" life with a passion of love that most people - CAN NOT - possibly comprehend. Cancer wasn't a death sentence. I found it to be a life sentence. In that one year, I found how to forgive and be forgiven. To love and be loved, and most importantly: I believed and I accepted my Lord as Savior over my life. Everyone has a disease: sin. We also have the cure for all sin and His name is Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 106 1-2
"I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone all who believes." Romans 1:16
"I am not ashamed to testify about our Lord." 2 Timothy 1:8
The opportunity to do good is among us all. Thus,
I have not & will never charge an "appearance fee" for coming to your church to share the grace that I received through Christ healing power. God is working in me and through me to show people that He is still in the miracle making difference. I believe that God will provide for my family through love offerings. I stand on God's words in 1st Timothy 6:17-1
By God's calling, we have given our testimony of H.O.P.E. in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina in over 20 churches, Relay for Life Key Note Speaker, Men breakfast, several Home/Life groups, Sunday Schools, Tobi Mac's Fellowship for Christian Athlete's. Christ has given us the words to be an inspiration to many who are dealing with depression, guilt, shame, anxiety, drug and alcohol addictions, all forms of cancer and just overwhelmed by life. Our ministry of H.O.P.E. is for the hurting and the lost, not just for people with cancer. Through Christ, We pray for favor and open doors. To God be the the glory! AMEN
I’ve read many testimonies. I’ve heard even more. But there’s only one I have ever been able to see one lived out daily. Eric is genuine, transparent, and passion about his love for Christ. He has redefined words like husband, believer, father, selfless, friend, and love. He’s given me strength and hope in my daily struggles. He’s shown what it takes to be a follower and what rewards follow. His courage is contagious, his smile is warming, his passion is unmatched.
